About Alohas
If sustainability and style met and became a shoe, what would it look like? It would probably be made from vegan or Leather Working Group Certified Leather, be sold through an on-demand sales model, and have an effortless trendy, modern vibe.
That’s Alohas for you, a sustainable, on-demand shoe company with killer style.
Featured in Vogue and Forbes, Alohas was founded in 2015 by Alejandro Porras in Honolulu, Hawaii. But while the brand is based in the tropics, production happens in Spain where skilled artisans craft their forward-thinking line.

Materials / What Is It Made Of?
Alohas uses Leather Working Group Certified Leather which produces less pollution than non-certified leather does.
Their vegan line of shoes is made from plant-based sources like apples, cacti, and corn. Both these options make more sustainable choices than average leather boots do.
Alohas Shoes Review
Alohas’ collection is rich with buttery leather, chic croc-style textures, and luxe velvet. It’s entirely indulgent while being incredibly responsible, and that’s the first thing that made me fall in love with this line.
The next? Take a peek at their best-sellers to follow in this Alohas review, and you’ll quickly find out. All are available in sizes 35-42.
Alohas Harper – White Leather Sandals Review
Birkenstocks are cute and comfy, but there’s one thing they’ll never be: chic. That’s a job for the Harper – White Leather Sandals. They have that comfy-cute vibe but take it to the next level, showing off a smooth leather texture elevated by shiny gold buckles.
In white leather, they’re cool and collected, which is exactly how you’ll feel once you slip them on thanks to their molded footbeds and raised rubber soles. Get a pair of these chic white sandals for $220.
What customers say: “I love them. They go with a lot of outfits and are super comfy. I also don’t have to use any blisters as I do with half of my other shoes.” – Oksana, Alohas.com

Alohas Can Can – Beige Leather Combat Boots Review
I love all of the shoes included in this Alohas review, but the Can Can – Beige Leather Combat Boots especially. Perhaps it’s because I’m a city girl at heart, but I have a feeling it’s simply because they rock.
Made from buttery leather, these boots have a chunky sole that’s more substantial than other combat boots. The beige color is so on-trend, and their thick laces pour on the edge. I can see myself wearing these with straight-leg jeans or tights and a skirt.
Get your Alohas boots for $168 on-demand ($240 normally).
What customers say: “Shoes are even better than I anticipated. I thought they would be hard ot break in but the first time I wore them I could feel them loosening up and getting even comfier. HUGE fan.” – Isabel, Alohas.com
Alohas Block – Black Leather Boots Review
The Block – Black Leather Boots are super unique, almost moon boot-ish in design. They’re a bit dressier than combat boots and have a simple design that stands out.
With stacked soles, the Block design is more like a work of art, and you should wear these sleek babes whenever you’re feeling adventurous. Grab these black boots on-demand for $224 (normally $320).
What customers say: “Amazingly soft and lightweight. They feel like clouds on my feet. Incredible design. My first purchase in Alohas and I am quite satisfied by its international shipment process and its production values.” – Maria, Alohas.com
Alohas East Croco – Brown Leather Boots Review
The East Croco – Brown Leather Boots give off major Bond Babe vibes. I can totally see Shirley Eaton aka Jill Masterson wearing a white jumpsuit and tossing her hair in a pair of these, and to channel her confidence, I highly suggest picking up a pair.
They’re made from sustainable leather (not crocodile skin), with a croc-skin texture. Loose around the calf with a squarish toe and block heel, you can totally kick butt in the East Croco boot.
Get these Alohas heels on-demand for $280 (normally $400).
What customers say: This is my first pair of alohas boots and I was SO excited and hopeful that they would live up to the hype. Y’all – they are so gorgeous! I’ve gotten several compliments already and they are comfortable – Haley, Alohas.com
What Are The Benefits of Buying Alohas?
Alohas is one of the few brands that offer an On-Demand feature. This means you’ll pre-order your shoes, pay 30% less, and when enough people have ordered the same pair, the brand will make them.
This helps reduce textile waste from surplus products, but this does mean you could wait longer to receive them. However, Alohas states how long your wait time will be so you know exactly when you’ll get yours.
Alohas uses sustainable leather across their shoe line, as well as vegan leather for their vegan collection. Their real leather is Leather Working Group Certified, signifying that it produces less pollution.
Who Are Alohas For?
Alohas has a sustainable sales platform that’s ideal for anyone who wants to make the world a better place.
Their shoes are comfortable, trendy, and well-made, so they’re an investment piece for minimalist shoppers looking for versatile, long-lasting shoes, accessories, and clothing.
Alohas Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
No Alohas review would be complete without a section on feedback, and that’s precisely what you’ll find here. Let’s take a peek at some ratings from the brand’s site first then venture around the web:
- East Croco: 4.5/5 stars, 154 reviews
- Block: 4.5/5 stars, 56 reviews
- Can Can: 4.5/5 stars, 438 reviews
- Double Strap Espadrilles: 4.5/4 stars, 348 reviews
Like so many other shoppers, I’m in love with the Can Can Combat Boots. This next Alohas review explains why so many people go ga-ga over them:
“Great pair of boots, soft leather so had no issue with wearing them in. Get a lot of compliments every time I wear them. Came a lot faster than the original arrival date.”
Others say how comfortable they are, and “comfortable” is one of the most common words I saw used to describe Alohas shoes. On Trustpilot, the brand received an overall score of 4/5 stars from 1,008 Alohas shoes reviews. Here’s the snapshot:
- 5 stars: 68%
- 4 stars: 4%
- 3 stars: 3%
- 2 stars: 4%
- 1 star: 19%
One Alohas review read, “This company is outstanding to work with. First of all the shoes I bought are SO cute and of excellent quality. But they were a Christmas gift and the wrong size and the return was past the return deadline. I contacted them and they instantly approved the return…The return was so simple – just drop it off at the designated location.”
I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that not every brand has good customer service. It’s always refreshing to hear about one that does.
Alohas received praise on Thing Testing as well, where 4 customers awarded their shoes and experience 4.8/5 stars. One Alohas review there read:
“I bought the Can Can boots and I’m so happy with them. I love their sustainable production and they are so worth the price and wait. They didn’t hurt my feet at all, and they fit my big feet (US Size 11). It was something that I definitely had to save up for a little bit, but I would 100% do it again.”
While it’s no secret that Alohas aren’t cheap, most shoppers say they are worth the money. The main issue? That their On-Demand models often mean customers are waiting 3+ months to receive them. This isn’t always the case, but it can happen.
For that reason, Alohas gives shoppers 30% off On-Demand shoes. Of course, you always have the option to buy ready-to-ship products as well. Overall, I found excellent feedback for this brand no matter where I looked.
Are Alohas Legit?
I didn’t see any Alohas shoes review that would make me think otherwise. Alohas is a legit brand praised for its great service and beautiful, high-quality products. They respond to all customer complaints, showing that if you do run into an issue, they will work to resolve it.
Are Alohas Worth It?
Alohas has a lot of great things going for them. Their on-demand feature lets you pre-order and save 30%, helping the planet out by assisting the brand in generating less waste. They also have vegan options, and in general, some really good-looking shoes.
Their customer service is top-notch and their shoes are high-quality. Are they worth it? 100%.

Alohas doesn’t make shoes for kids. They don’t have orthotics either, so if that’s something you need, check out brands like Vionic. See the next section of this Alohas shoes review for more alternatives.

How To Choose The Best Shoes
When it comes to shoes, you’ve got options. Narrow them down by considering these key factors:
- Style: Often, you know if a brand is right for you just by looking at their inventory. Browse through a few categories to find out if they’re the right fit.
- Size: If you have a special shoe size, be sure a brand stocks it. Also, those with wide or narrow feet might want to check a brand’s sizing before ordering.
- Materials: If you’re a vegan, you won’t shop with a brand that only sells leather, but some leather brands do offer vegan options (psst… Alohas does!)
- Quality: Not all leather shoes are made the same. Read up on the quality a brand offers to ensure you’re getting a style that will last for years.
