Ohio is the only market where the Betr app can be used for real money bets. This makes sense given that Jake Paul is originally from Ohio.

Betr strives to make sports betting easier. It provides people who aren’t used to long-term betting with short-term bets to keep them invested in the game they’re watching. 

As of writing this Betr App review, the app only supports three sports, football, basketball, and baseball, at the national and collegiate levels.

The app also makes betting easy by outlining your betting options. It doesn’t beat users over the heads with Vegas odds or other confusing metrics. Instead, its clean layout puts the focus on the simplest actions. You can see which bet would net you a larger return if you win and alter your wagers with the push of a button.

One thing I want to point out in my Betr App review is that there are some parameters users can set if they’re prone to problematic gambling.

Instead, you’ll use Betr to place money on what will happen within the next couple of seconds. Some examples the brand provides include the following:

1. The outcomes of a batter when they go to bat
2. What the next play will be during a football game
3. How many free throws will a basketball player make after they’ve been fouled

Let’s go with the second example for the purposes of this Bet App. You can bet on whether the football team on offense will run or pass the ball. 

It appears that you can place wagers of $5, $10, $25, $50, or $100. Based on your wager, you can get a live preview of your payout if you win.

The bets don’t stop there. You can place another bet on whether or not that same play will result in a first down. In this sense, you can stack bets to earn more. 

As of right now, all these dollar amounts are based on free coins Betr assigns to users when they sign up. 

Based on my research, a Betr App promo awards you 2,000 coins when you sign up. These coins have no real-world equivalent. Right now, they represent how money should function once Betr App expands to offer real-money play outside of Ohio.

Who Is Betr For? 

Obviously, Betr is primarily for people in Ohio right now since that’s the only place where users can play with real money. Massachusetts appears to be next in Betr’s expansion.

Besides that, Betr is suited for people not invested in long-term betting or sports. It comes in handy if you’re watching a game with friends in a sport that you’ve never followed before. You don’t have to know which player on the court is having a good or bad season. All you need to do is place a bet and hope it plays out.

Betr Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

There weren’t many Betr App reviews from users since the app is still in its infancy. Thankfully, there were enough ratings on the iOS and Android App stores for me to generate an overall impression of what users thought about Betr as of May 2023. Here’s what they rated the service:

• iOS App Store: 3.7/5 stars based on more than 270 pieces of customer feedback
• Android App Store: 3.6/5 stars based on more than 115 pieces of customer feedback

These scores indicate that customer reception was positive. In a nutshell, customers enjoyed the app but said it was barebones. They felt that it wasn’t finished yet, whether because of bugs in the programming or the fact that it hadn’t been refined. 

That being said, some Betr App reviews revealed that it accomplished its goal; it made people care about sports and betting who otherwise wouldn’t. One customer had the following to say:

“Since downloading Betr I have been having such a “Betr” time watching my favorite games.
