Higround Performance 65 Keyboard Review
Higround Performance 65 Keyboard is a magnetic gaming keyboard with Hall Effect switches for dedicated gamers. There are just two different styles including RETROSUPER and BLACKICE. What makes these keyboards different?
Performance 65 has magnetic switches and Hall Effect technology that provides Dynamic Actuation between 0.1mm and 4.00mm with Rapid Trigger. For those new to these terms, Dynamic Actuation means the user can determine when a switch actuates and resets. This prevents delay and is great for first-person shooter games. Here’s what else you can expect from Performance 65:
- Dynamic Actuation
- Rapid Trigger
- Aluminum plate
- Dual dampening foam
- Side-print lettering
- Gateron KS-37 magnetic switches
- Fully customizable RGB lighting
In the box you’ll also get:
- USB-C cable
- Keycap puller
- Switch puller
Performance 65 Keyboards are for the people who want the extra edge in their gameplay. There’s a limit of 2 per customer and all sales are final. Grab yours for $140.25-$165.
Higround Limited Drops Keyboards
One of the aspects that drew us to Higround Limited Drops is their exclusive collaborations. It’s not just about the limited quantities available; rather, it’s the specific intellectual properties (IPs) that Higround chooses to partner with. What’s particularly enticing is the knowledge that once these collections are sold out, they tend not to ever restock. Currently, Higround offers collections with official designs from Attack on Titan, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Pokémon, available in both Basecamp 65, Performance 65, and Summit keyboard styles.
Limited Drops are limited, and once they’re gone, they aren’t coming back. Here’s what you can expect with this round’s designs:
- Summit, Basecamp, and Performance keyboards
- Exclusive mousepad designs
- Limited stock
Current drops are limited to 2 per customer and all sales are final. Prices start at $145 and go up to $260.
Fun detail: There’s more than just keyboards in Limited Drops. Enjoy matching mousepads, jelly bags, T-shirts, and even keycap sets to customize your other boards.
Mousepads Review
Higround offers a few different Mousepads, but all are either Large or Extra Large. The measurements for each are:
- L: 50x45cm 4mm thickness
- XL: 90x40cm 4mm thickness
- Performance: 50×45 3.5mm thickness
Not using a mousepad? Then your gaming experience can be compromised. Of course, what’s worse than not using a mousepad? One that isn’t large enough and inhibits your movement! With Higround’s large surface area, non-slip base, and micro-control surface, you’ll enjoy low friction movement and excellent stopping power.
Prices range from $30-$40 with discounts that take prices from $25-$34.
Higround Summit Forge App Review
One of the factors that customers love so much about Higround is the customizability. With the Summit Forge App, you can customize your keyboard lighting, keybinds, and create different profiles to switch to depending on what you’re doing. Think: Neon green for gaming or colorful for everyday use.
Controlled from the convenience of your browser, once you close the tab, your changes will save to your actual Summit 65 keyboard. No need for downloads on your computer. Save up to 10 profiles and enjoy a no-installation process or app running in the background. Designed with gamers in mind, this fun and smart app will allow you to enjoy your Summit even more.
Heads up! The app is only compatible with PC Chromium-based browsers such as Chrome, Opera, Brave, and Microsoft Edge. Also, it’s completely free. Just click this link, connect your Summit keyboard, and start customizing!

Higround Keyboard Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
Now that you’ve seen what Higround has to offer, it’s time to find out what customers think about it. This section of the Higround keyboard review will dive into customer feedback, starting with some ratings and comments collected from the brand’s website.
- OPAL Base 65 Keyboard – White Flame Switch: 4.9/5 stars, 93 reviews
- BLACKICE Base 65 Keyboard: 4.7/5 stars, 181 reviews
- SNOWSTONE Base 65 Keyboard: 4.9/5 stars, 339 reviews
- AMETHYST Base 65 Keyboard: 4.9/5 stars, 66 reviews
- Summit 2.0 65 Keyboard – SNOWSTONE: 4.7/5 stars, 12 reviews
Of the Basecamp 65 BLACKICE Keyboard, one customer said it’s the “best keyboard” that “sounds good and looks good and the lights are amazing.” Another wrote, “This is by far the best keyboard I have ever used!” while yet another said that it “Feels super high quality.”
As for the Performance 65 keyboard, one shopper wrote the following on Higround.com: “This is the best keyboard I have ever had it sounds good it’s smooth and it’s instant when you click.”
It’s clear that customers love these keyboards and that the high points are the look, lights, sounds, and smoothness.
Heading off of the brand’s website to The Outer Haven, one writer reviewed the Jujutsu Kaisen Basecamp 65 Keyboard. Here’s what they had to say about it:
“The Jujutsu Kaisen Basecamp 65 keyboard is made from a solid material that feels high quality to the touch. It has customizable keycaps, RGB keyboard colors, a slot for a custom USB cord if you want a longer one, macro functionality for custom mapping of keys, and it is pretty light. It is a pretty decent grab for the price if you can grab one.”
The “if you can get one” line references the keyboard’s limited drops and high demand. While limited drops are indeed limited, their normally stocked products do come back in stock.
An online tech publication called Dexerto also reviewed Higround keyboards. They’ve reviewed quite a few of them, but the Basecamp 65 definitely appears to be their favorite, reporting:
“The keycaps look and feel great, with side legends allowing for a clean look. We had no issues whatsoever with the keycaps themselves, which makes every other board on the market look a little lackluster by comparison.”
On Amazon, the Higround Crystal Amethyst Basecamp 65% Mechanical Keyboard has a 4.9/5 star rating among 43 customer reviews with the following breakdown:
- 5 stars: 92%
- 4 stars: 4%
- 3 stars: 4%
- 2 stars: 0%
- 1 star: 0%
One shopper wrote, “This keyboard is great! I love the build quality, and the keys feel and sound so satisfying to type with. It looks great too, and the ability to customize the colors of the keys is so nice when I want the keyboard to match my desktop background. Would highly recommend.”
After all of the Higround keyboard reviews I came across, it’s clear that customers love the brand and what they have to offer. From customizable colors to smooth keystrokes, if you’re someone who spends a lot of time on your computer, these keyboards are worth looking into.
Is Higround Legit?
Nothing I found during this Higround keyboards review would deter me from shopping here. While some users reported trouble getting in contact with customer service and complained about a lack of FAQs about a year ago, Higround is a legit company that values its customers. It is also essential to highlight that Higround is the peripheral partner for 100 Thieves, a renowned gaming apparel brand, well-known for its esports teams and big-name streamers.
Because Higround offers a 1-year warranty on their keyboards, if you find yours is defective, let the brand know and they’ll send you a replacement or refund.
Is a Higround Keyboard Worth It?
There’s no doubt about it that Higround keyboards are awesome. While they aren’t cheap, they shouldn’t be considering their quality, construction, and artwork. In terms of quality, this is a classic case of “you get what you pay for”. If you’re after a keyboard that’s smooth, attractive, customizable, and has great acoustics, Higround is a fantastic pick.
I’m not the only one to say that either, considering the brand has heaps of excellent feedback from multiple sources around the web. Regarding the 65% keyboard design, if you’re not accustomed to a smaller keyboard, you’ll appreciate how easy it is to transport your keyboard or the minimal space it takes up on your desk. The 65% keyboards contain everything you need and nothing you don’t, such as dedicated arrow keys.

You can only return products that are in their original condition, not those that have become damaged in your care. If your product was damaged when it arrived, that’s a different story, and you should contact Higround immediately to let them know. Here’s a bit more about the policy:

What is a pre-order?
Higround sometimes offers pre-orders for their products that allow you to order an item before it’s been produced. This helps minimize product waste by allowing the brand to manufacture only what’s needed. Pre-order windows vary from product to product, but you’ll see a time frame for each product you’re interested in.
