From there, your child will add challenges from built-in scrubs created in Roblox’s official coding language, Lua.
When their game is ready, your child can share it with your peers and will be an official Roblox developer. iD Tech offers Roblox camps for kids 7-12 at any experience level. They’ll attend the camp for a week (Monday to Friday) for 8 hours per day. Prices start at $949.

iD Tech Summer Camp Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
You’ve read about some of the courses available, but let’s dive into what customers think about them. In this section of my iD Tech Summer Camps review, we’ll check out feedback from Trustpilot, Berkeley Parents Network, and Yelp to find out more.
On Trustpilot iD Tech has an overall rating of 4.4/5 stars among 1,810 reviews. Here’s how that score breaks down:
- 5 stars: 74%
- 4 stars: 11%
- 3 stars: 6%
- 2 stars: 4%
- 1 star: 5%
One customer wrote, “iDTech has been great for my son. He is opening up and learning new things. Tanner has been a great teacher, patient, and understanding. I recommend for anyone that has a kid who is eager to learn more about the how and why of the games they play.”
Another said, “My son had a blast at your camp. He is often frustrated with classes being too easy, but he was challenged by the iD Tech program and loved working with his instructor. It gave him a glimpse at what studying computer science might look like in college (he’s a rising junior in high school), and it’s made him excited about his future.”
From these two iD Tech Summer Camps reviews, we can learn that the program’s courses are indeed a challenge for the kids who attend, who are also learning social skills.
Within the Berkeley Parents Network online, one parent wrote the following: “iD Tech Camp is a good sleepaway camp! They operate at Stanford and many other locations across the country. They offer a lot of programming courses, some graphic design, game design. My son and daughter have done their day camps for a few years & it’s always a good experience. Friends have done the sleepaway option, and loved it too.”
While this is a more general view of the STEM school, it tells of the quality of their courses and the kids’ enjoyment.
The last iD Tech Summer Camps review we’ll check out comes from Yelp. There, a parent wrote:
“Recently we tried their winter camp in-person and my kids absolutely love it. We joined the camp in Santa Clara, CA and both my kids LOVE IT! My daughter said that her teacher is one of the best and most fun teachers she had. That is HUGE deal! I met some of the team and they are amazing. Even though it was a whole day my kids ended up not wanting the camp to end. But they also were very challenged with the projects. So that is really good. I highly recommend both online and in-person, but if you have an in-person opportunity- that is the BEST choice.”
Overall, from the feedback gathered for this part of my iD Tech Summer Camps review, it’s clear that parents feel their children are challenged. It’s also clear that kids love attending the camp. With that said, there are some comments from parents who worry that their older or more advanced children aren’t being challenged in the same way, so be sure to get a full understanding of the course beforehand to understand if it’s the right choice.
