You’re going to have to arm yourself to handle some tough conversations about politics, elections, and cancel culture because everyone has a cousin who read somewhere online that someone is trying to game the system.
I’m assuming that you’re a sensible enough person you know when to hold your tongue and plug your ears. Sadly, doing those for too long can cause long-term damage, and certainly said cousin isn’t going to cover your visits to the doctor. So what are you going to do, suffer with stuffed earlobes and a chewed tongue?
How about instead you check out K Health? The company is changing the face of American healthcare by making it more affordable and accessible for users across the country. Their efforts have earned praise from Fast Company, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, and Forbes, among others.
Their premise is that health operates around the clock, meaning that healthcare should be as accessible as possible. They operate through their mobile to provide service and consultations virtually, with their team of board-certified doctors helping clients who otherwise may not have as easy of a time finding good healthcare.
They have over 12k Instagram followers and over 40k positive customer reviews across multiple sites. I’ll be consulting a bit of what people had to say in this K Health review as I break down everything that you need to know about the service.

A study[1] shows telehealth is an efficient and effective tool for improving health care access and outcomes, yet several barriers to telehealth practice remain to be overcome.
K Health is therefore a good alternative for low-income people who need symptoms diagnosed or medications refilled. They do not charge insurance. In fact, they either charge a one-time virtual visitation fee or you can sign up for a full membership that’s paid on a monthly basis.
After I go through some of the brand’s highlights, I’ll tell you about the different sorts of care you can expect to receive through K Health.

The K Health App is available on both Apple and Android devices. Both strands use essentially the same app, so there’s no sense in splitting hairs in this K Health review. As such, I’ll be speaking about them as a whole.
K Health Pricing
On their website, K Health advertise their pricing as $29 per month with $35 visitation fees. They say that this comes without needing additional insurance.
As such, K Health gives you the option to select between the two. You don’t need to sign up for a full membership if you just want urgent care. That $35 fee covers a single visit if that’s all you need. Meanwhile, a membership costs $29 monthly but grants you as many visits as you need.
In my opinion, that alone makes membership more valuable than a one-time visit. You can eat all your vitamins, say all your prayers, and meditate every hour on the hour, but you can’t predict when you’ll get sick. That’s why I think it’s better to have the resources and not use them rather than search for them only to realize it’s too late.
In any case, I should note that the K Health Mental Health plan runs on a different pricing scheme. It costs $49 per month.

The reason why you’d want this service handy is that health is unpredictable. Sometimes you wake up with a pain in your tooth or a weird-looking scab on your leg from seemingly out of nowhere. Those are the times when you’d want to keep K Health Urgent Care in your pocket.
If you do wake up with discomfort or a lesion and need immediate care then K Health have you covered. You can connect with a doctor quickly without having to wait. The app opens up text communication channels with board-certified clinicians. Someone is there to hear you at the other end of the line.
Once you reach out to a doctor and they diagnose your condition, they can send a prescription to your preferred pharmacy. Comparing the speed at which K Health Urgent Care operates to that of even a walk-in clinic is a bit rude to them because they’re clearly much faster and cheaper. There aren’t any new fees that crop up if you need to speak with someone through K Health so you know how much consultation will cost at the outset.
K Health Primary Care Review

Not all doctor’s appointments are about urgent cases. Some are about ongoing issues while others are about gaining an expert’s opinion about beginning new medication or implementing lifestyle changes. That’s where the K Health Primary Care service comes in.
This service makes the entire process of checking in with a doctor much more efficient. It streamlines every aspect of seeing a specialist. For instance, intakes are performed virtually, making them faster for you to complete and easier for a specialist to read through your answers.
From there, you can set up a virtual appointment with any of the doctors on the K Health Primary Care roster whenever you’d like. You can drop into the app when you have the time. If a doctor isn’t available then you can speak with K Health. This is a good option if you need prescription refills or other non-essential processes.
The K Health Primary Care system has been used to treat chronic heartburn, migraines, asthma, and more ongoing conditions.
K Health Mental Health Review

One of the largest issues with mental health care is that mental health often debilitates our ability to seek help. It’s like this; you’re driven to see the doctor if you have a stomach bug, but depression can sap your drive to get help. It negates your ability to do anything, so battling it can feel like you have to cater to the condition’s schedule.
K Health recognizes this. Thus, the K Health Mental Health service works around times that are best for you. Since you can touch base with experts whenever you please, you can reach out when you need the most help or when you have the mental capacity to do so. As such, it’s a good option for preventative and reactionary health.

If your child is suffering from head lice, allergies, pink eye, swimmer’s ear, or other conditions that affect children more than adults then you’ll appreciate having K Health in your pocket.
One thing to note about K Health Pediatrics is that, unlike the other services I listed in this K Health review, it’s not available in all 48 states. The service is only offered in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

As I stated earlier in this K Health review, this platform is ideal for people who don’t have plenty of free time to see a doctor when something crops up or who don’t have tons of disposable income. Considering that the average cost of a doctor’s visit in the United States is around $265, K Health’s prices are much more agreeable.
K Health Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
While everything I’ve written in this K Health review speaks to a highly organized and professional service, only people who have actually used the service can attest whether or not that’s true in reality. As such, here are a couple of aggregate scores I found that customers gave the service.

The positive K Health reviews praised the service for its speed and accuracy. Users felt like they could receive the solutions they needed at a much faster rate than they would if they tried to connect with a doctor in person. Some even described the process from signing onto the app to getting the correct prescription as taking as little as 3 hours.
Here’s what one buyer wrote on the iTunes App Store. “This app was everything I needed, without the doctors visit. For people who don’t work or don’t have insurance and need medical attention right way, work lots of hours or are alone and in need of medical attention….this is the app you needed… at one point. I’ve used this app many times, it is professional, and efficient and the doctors well all very real and compassionate…I was surprised when I realized I could get immediate medical attention, for a low cost.”
Other K Health reviews mentioned that the app’s functionality was stellar. The ability to chat with professionals whenever was a godsend for those who didn’t have many free hours during the day.
“I adore this app. It saves me so much money because I don’t have to go to my primary care doctor as much. The symptom tracker is really spot on with what’s going on with you. I decided to start using the chat with a doctor feature as well (on my free trial now, but 100% going to pay for it when the trial is up). The first time I ever talked to a doctor, she diagnosed me correctly with an ear infection and sent me in some antibiotics that cleared it right up,” wrote one customer.
A more mixed K Health review spoke well of the app’s potential but said that the programming wasn’t the best. I’m unsure if these issues have been resolved since new updates have been released, but they are important to note given that this is an app-based service.
The review went, “This is a great app if you want to try and pinpoint what exactly may be wrong health-wise. The AI isn’t necessarily perfect, but for the most part, it’s at least 80% accurate. As for the contacting a doctor part of this app; while this is a great way to ensure someone without insurance has access to a doctor, I personally don’t trust the app in its current state. “
Despite these positive testimonials, not everyone was happy with the care they received at K Health. Some people complained that they were tossed between professionals meaning that they couldn’t get accurate follow-ups. This is obviously troublesome because clients weren’t able to consult the doctor who’d first diagnosed them and thus couldn’t measure their progress.
Others said that they didn’t feel like they were truly being seen by doctors. They mentioned that the professionals on the K Health app were just running through protocols without actually listening to what they had to say.
Is K Health Legit?
K Health seems legit, though there are definitely some limitations to its outreach.
Is K Health Worth It?
When you consider everything I’ve said in this K Health review, you might come away with one of two conclusions. Either you think that the service is ideal for you in spite of its flaws, or that it’s not worth your time.
Personally, as someone who rarely has time to think let alone visit the doctor, I think that K Health is worth it for the low membership fee and speedy service, but that’s just me.
