Overview of Leesa

Leesa Mattress Review

We spend approximately one-third of our lifetime sleeping. That means picking the right mattress is extremely important! Leesa had a goal in mind to give everyone a better sleep with high-quality mattresses and convenient direct-to-home purchasing.

“Our goal is to deliver deeper rest for everybody. We believe that everyone has a right to rest. To do that, you need a sanctuary in your home — a place where you can reconnect with yourself and the people you love. A Leesa mattress is the centerpiece of that sanctuary.”

Leesa launched in 2014 in Virginia Beach by David Wolfe and Jamie Diamonstein. At the time, the brand only offered the Original Leesa Mattress as a trendy and popular bed-in-a-box. Leesa mattresses are American-made and still headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

FAQ

Where are Leesa mattresses made?

While writing this Leesa mattress review I found that mattresses, foundations, blankets, and pillows, are made in the US. Some of their other products are made in both China and Israel.

Is Leesa toxic?

Leesa mattresses are non-toxic as they do not chemically treat any of their products or materials.

Do you need a box spring with Leesa?

Leesa does not recommend that you use a box spring under their mattresses. There is no Leesa mattress box spring because a box spring is meant to support innerspring mattresses and can actually change the feel of your mattress.

Instead, put your mattress on a foundation, such as a wooden frame or platform bed. These bases will give your mattress the perfect amount of support for maximum comfort and will extend the lifespan.

Can Leesa mattresses be flipped?

You do not need to flip Leesa mattresses. They are designed in layers with comfort in mind. Flipping your mattress would change the feel and not be as comfortable.

The two-inch top layer of the bed was designed for airflow and if flipped, would be at the bottom of your mattress. Rest assured that Leesa mattresses are durable and last long all on their own.

Is Leesa good for back pain?

Yes, foam mattresses are the best option for back pain, therefore, the Original Mattress would be a great choice for those experiencing constant pain. The foam contours to your body and relieves pressure points.

A medium firm mattress gives you the back support you will need to wake up feeling refreshed. The Hybrid Mattress and Legend Mattress are also great options for back pain.

Do Leesa mattresses soften over time?

All memory foam mattresses soften over time. This is often not included in mattress warranties as it is inevitable.

How long does it take for a Leesa mattress to inflate?

Give your mattress 24 hours to inflate before you sleep on it for 100% support and a comfortable feel. It may be fully expanded within an hour but won’t be at its best, so it’s best to avoid sleeping on it for the full recommended 24 hours.

How is Leesa shipped?

Leesa offers free shipping including import fees via FedEx all over the US. Leesa mattress Canada also includes free shipping. Leesa bases and accessories are only available to be shipped in the US. Leesa also ships to the UK and Germany.

Note that the 100 Night Guarantee and 10-Year Limited Warranty are only valid within the country of purchase.

Can I return my Leesa mattress?

You can return your Leesa mattress without feeling guilty as returns are donated to those in need. It’s important to note that you must take 30 days before deciding if you would like to return your mattress.

If you’re not happy after 30 nights, you can begin the return process by contacting the customer service team.

The team will coordinate a pickup from your home and refund your purchase. Keep in mind that only your first mattress purchase has a 100-night trial and free return.

The 100-Night Guarantee and the 10-Year Limited Warranty are both invalid once the mattress leaves the US and Canada. The 10 Year Warranty includes a full replacement. You don’t need to return the Leesa mattress in a box.

To make a return, call Leesa customer service or email the Leesa mattress team. Once the return is validated, the team will help you through the return process. The conditions for return state that items:

  • Must be within the 100 day trial period (mattress)
  • Must be within the 30 day trial period for furniture or accessories
  • Mattresses must be clean and not damaged
