About Museum of Peace and Quiet

Museum of Peace and Quiet Review

There’s something to be said about the stillness of a museum. Around each corner, a new world awaits; everyone in the room looking quietly in awe at the beauty before them.

The origin of the Museum of Peace and Quiet fashion brand is reminiscent of this experience. Founders Ashley and Christion Lennon were on a road trip through America’s deserts when they completely fell in love with the tranquility and peacefulness of nature.

Their neutral color palette and organic shapes emulate the stillness of the desert and its ability to take us out of our everyday anxieties.

Museum of Peace and Quiet has amassed just over 70k followers on Instagram. Additionally, with write-ups in Vogue and HypeBeast, the brand has definitely started to make a name for itself on the California fashion scene.

My Museum of Peace and Quiet review will look at the brand, its products, some customer experiences, and more to help you decide if this brand will bring you peace of mind before you buy.

Let’s start things off with some highlights:

Highlights

  • Neutral and versatile clothing
  • Free relaxation app
  • Journal to keep up to date with the company

Museum of Peace and Quiet Review

Brands like the Museum of Peace and Quiet may not do a lot, but they do what they do well. Their neutral colors and minimal designs represent a lifestyle. So, let’s dive into some bestsellers in the next part of my Museum of Peace and Quiet review.

Museum of Peace & Quiet X Lusso Slide Cactus Review

This MoPQ X Lusso Slide Cactus collab exudes casual comfort with flair. The Pelli features Lusso’s waffle knit upper made from partially recycled bamboo and a grosgrain pull tab.

The sole consists of 3 layers, an EVA footbed that cradles your foot, then a soft layer of memory foam, and lastly, topped with a smooth sheet made from natural latex.

Slip these on for a coffee on your balcony, or take them out for a walk around town. Easy, convenient, comfortable, and stylish, the Pelli is as versatile as you are.

Check the MoPQ website for available sizing. Note that their shoes are unisex sizing unless stated otherwise.

Museum of Peace & Quiet Grounded Socks Forest Review

Socks shouldn’t be an afterthought. Yes, maybe they hide in our shoes all day, but that doesn’t mean we need to restrict ourselves to the basic black and white.

These forest green mid-calf socks are a stretch-cotton blend and the perfect splash of color for your feet. The white detailing makes them truly unique, with a peace sign near the top, “peace” and “quiet” written on either toe and “grounded” written on the sole of the feet.

Walk with confidence and tranquility with these unique beauties. They’re unavailable on their website at the moment, but you can subscribe to their mailing list to stay updated on new stock.

Museum of Peace & Quiet The Unisex Sherpa Jacket Review

What comes to mind when you think of fall? Beanies, maybe. Pumpkin spice everything? Probably. Plaid? Abso-freaking-lutely. This MoPQ Unisex Sherpa Jacket is a must-have for any fall season.

Made in collaboration with FRAME using recycled plaid and a sherpa lining, you’ll feel warm and fashionable in their unisex jacket with a zipper closure and clean lines.

Dress it down over a white tee and jeans, or pair it with dockers and some leather boots for a more refined look. It’s a definite fave of mine in this Museum of Peace and Quiet review.

Available in sizes x-small to x-large, buy it now for $478

Museum of Peace & Quiet Leisure Company Hat Review

Why not grab a matching green hat to go with your socks? This 100% cotton olive green cap is perfect for hiding a bad hair day or adding to your athleisure look while running errands.

“Peace & Quiet” and “pq” are embroidered in white on the front so you can rep your new favorite company in style (while also subtly telling people around you to stop talking so loud).

The Museum of Peace & Quiet Leisure Company Hat is currently unavailable on the Museum of Peace & Quiet website, but sign up for their mailing list for updates on new stock.

Museum of Peace & Quiet Campus Crewneck Black Review

The classic black crewneck has been elevated a few levels with MoPQ. Because this review really can’t describe it better than they have on their website, the MoPQ Campus Crewneck “is densely knitted brushed French Terry, [and] lightly brushed for a buttery hand feel.“

Though simple, the ribbed neck, cuffs, and hem will keep you cozy, and the block text, “The Museum of Peace and Quiet,” will be a conversation starter.

Sizing is unisex but based on men’s sizing; only medium and large are currently available on their website.

Museum of Peace & Quiet Natural Sweatpant Bone Review

I’ll finish my Museum of Peace and Quiet review on individual items with one of my favorite clothing items, sweatpants.

As with the crewneck, I’ll let MoPQ speak for themselves on the details. These beige sweats feature “Two-end French Terry with flush loopback creat[ing] a light weight and smooth hand feel.“

Who doesn’t love a smooth hand-feel? And the green “Natural” text on the front makes this product synonymous with MoPQ’s other items.

Made with 100% cotton in the USA, these sweats have no side seam to maximize comfort and have a three-pocket construction. Sizes medium to x-large are currently available.

Who Is Museum of Peace & Quiet For?

Museum of Peace and Quiet Review

The brand caters to a younger audience, but the Museum of Peace & Quiet could be for anyone looking to add some peace and tranquility to their wardrobe.

Ideally, the customer has disposable income because the items can get a little pricey, but the wearability is high given the neutral color palette. Also, all items are unisex, so men and women alike can sport the brand.

Museum of Peace & Quiet Reviews: What Do Customers Think?

Museum of Peace and Quiet Review

With small brands, especially brands with a high price point, it’s essential to research before buying. But hey, that’s why my Museum of Peace and Quiet review is here.

MoPQ has really gained some “hype” with the “trend hunters” (all these quotation marks will make “sense” in a minute, I promise). Quite a few popular online publications have featured the brand, so let’s take a look at some.

HypeBeast, (see, I told you), a publication known for underground and street style, claimed that the Museum of Peace and Quiet was an understated essential for 2020. The article received over 6,000 “hypes,” which is sort of the upvote equivalent of Reddit. Bottomline, people are interested.

It’s funny that the brand has done so well on social media and with the more trendy publications.

In their interview with Vogue, they said one of the main reasons they created their relaxation app was, according to Lennon, “out of wanting something simple to give our customers. Something where they didn’t need to be on social media to see the brand.”

With their app and their clothing, Vogue felt that “together, the Lennons’ leisurewear and digital offerings form the foundation for an experience true to the brand’s name, a museum of peace and quiet.”

Lastly, TrendHunter gave MoPQ a 7/10 rating, with criteria including popularity, activity, and freshness.

Ultimately, freshness was their lowest mark, expected from a neutrals brand, but the other two categories were marked around 8 or higher

So overall, with the tastemakers of the streetwear or niche brands, the Museum of Peace and Quiet has made waves and continues to gain popularity, partly due to the quality of their clothing, but maybe partly due to the limited exclusivity numbers of their products.

Is the Museum of Peace & Quiet Worth It?

Museum of Peace and Quiet Review

Although their product line is limited and the price point is a little high, there’s something to be said about investing in clothing made with quality fabrics within the US. Building a wardrobe with neutrals of different items is never a bad call, either.

After writing this Museum of Peace and Quiet review, because all sales are final, I suggest taking some time to think before purchasing, but if you like the brand’s style and can afford their pieces, their items are definitely worth the buy
