Using The SweetNight Eye Tech Mask
I’ll note here that the Eye Tech Mask does come with charging cables, but it doesn’t come with an adapter.
You can plug it directly into your computer’s USB port, but I just used the adapter block from my phone charger and charged the battery for a full 40 minutes.
I would spare you the details of how I made a cup of tea and got in my cozy PJs before excitedly hopping into bed at precisely 9:02 pm to try the Eye Tech Mask, but I think they add to the story here.
After clipping the battery onto the mask, I put it on, and despite it being a rather large mask, it was light and comfortable on my face.
Immediately, I felt my eyes relax at the complete darkness the mask provides. I live in the city, so even in the dead of night, my room isn’t completely dark. I’ve worn other eye masks before and I liked how this one wasn’t pressed right up against my eyes, it felt almost like they were being cocooned.
Switching on the massage and hot compress, I wasn’t sure what to expect. At first, it felt like a gentle, consistent vibration, but after wearing it for a few minutes, the vibration started to change and it really did feel like my eyes were getting some TLC.
My favorite part about wearing the Eye Tech Mask that night was the hot compress. The mask heats up to 113℉, which isn’t hot but warming and calming. This function definitely made me feel sleepy and I fell asleep not too long after that.
The next time I tried out the mask, I used it for the cold compress. I often use a jade roller I’ve kept in the fridge on my face throughout the day as I find it makes my eyes feel more awake.
This is exactly what the cold compress in the Eye Tech Mask did, only in a hands-free way that also allowed them to rest.
Since that first night of trying the mask, I’ve found myself reaching for it again and again—if only for 10 minutes to give my eyes a break. Overall, my experience with the mask was a great one and I will certainly be making it part of my daily self-care routine.
How Does The SweetNight Eye Tech Mask Work?
The SweetNight Eye Tech Mask is more advanced than your regular eye mask, so there are a few features you’ll need to learn about before using it.
With that said, it’s still super easy to use and as long as you charge the battery for 40 minutes and freeze the ice packs for at least 15 minutes, you’ll have free range of its features.
As you’ve previously read, the Eye Tech Mask has three core functions:
- Massage
- Hot compress
- Cold compress
It also does a great job of shutting out light. If you suffer from migraines, you might find this particular feature incredibly useful, as well as the cold compress. Up next, I’ll walk you through the setup and functions so that you know exactly how the Eye Tech Mask works.
The first step to feeling relief is charging the Eye Tech Mask’s lithium battery and popping the ice packs in your freezer for 15-20 minutes.
For massage and warm compress, place the battery on the magnetic dot located on the outside of your mask. Press the power button for 1 second and you’ll begin to feel it vibrate and start to warm up.
To shut off the vibration, short press the power button again to shut off the massage and just enjoy the heat. If you choose to keep both functions on, the massage and heat will last 18 minutes. To turn off all of the functions, long press the power button for 5 seconds.
Now it’s time for the cold compress. Take your two gel packs out of the freezer and place them in the inside cavern of your mask. They don’t slide in, they just kind of sit there in the pocket. Wear the mask as long as you like.

I think the SweetNight Eye Tech Mask is an awesome choice for anyone who works at a computer, struggles to relax at night, or wants to give their eyes a rest throughout the day.

Now, as I mentioned before, there aren’t many current SweetNight Eye Tech Mask reviews, so let’s take a look at one more for their mattresses. This one comes from Slumber Search. Here’s how they rated the brand and its mattresses:

Having tried the Eye Tech Mask myself, I can confidently say it’s a great product. The mask itself is very well made, and I can tell it will last a long time. Though it’s a substantial mask, it feels light on my face, cushioned so that if I wanted to fall asleep with it on, I could.
