About The Range Furniture
Some stores offer niche pieces, others specialize in luxury living, The Range has a mix of both, stocking hundreds (if not thousands) of well-known brands from around the world.
Based in the UK, this one-stop shop for home, leisure, and garden essentials is loved for its convenience, huge selection, and most of all, its unmatched prices. Just ask any of its 1.2M Instagram followers or 738.9k Facebook followers.
How will you know if it’s right for you? My The Range Furniture review is here to help. Ahead, I’ll tell you everything you need to know about the brand, like details on its bestsellers, customer feedback, promotions, and more. Let’s get started.
Overview of The Range
The Range got its start in 1989 in Plymouth when founder Chris Dawson saw the need for an affordable homewares store. He didn’t know that it would quickly become one of the biggest chains in the UK, and today, there are over 200 locations.
While The Range is a super successful chain of stores, it’s still owned by Chris Dawson and his wife. And while it may have dramatically grown, its mission has remained the same: “to bring our customers great quality products at the most competitive prices, drawing together everything you need for a beautiful home.”
I’d say they’ve hit that goal, considering you can shop pet supplies at the same time as chic outdoor furniture. With a total of 140,000 products to choose from, finding your favorites is like a treasure hunt, and the chance of walking away with just the one thing you came looking for is low.
Ready to get an idea of the kind of products you’ll find? It’s all coming up in my The Range Furniture review. But first, let’s take a look at the highlights.
Highlights
- Wide range of home, leisure, & garden products
- 16 departments
- 140,000 unique products
- Affordable prices
- Offers promotions
- Based in the UK
- Ships to 27 countries
If there’s one thing you’ll have while shopping at The Range, it’s options. But you’ll also have convenience, great prices, and payment plans should you want to split them up. Spanning across 16 unique categories from outdoor and furniture to rugs and mirrors, you can also shop collections like student living, pets, or even Christmas.

If you live in a small flat, then storage solutions are your best friend. The Saturn Six Hole Shelving Unit is an easy pick, with a pale wood-like finish that looks great with contemporary decor. Featuring 6 different compartments to store your books, trinkets, and essentials, its flat top even gives you a spot to display pictures or candles.
Unlike other similar designs, this one has three closed-door storage areas for items that produce clutter. That messy stack of important papers? Keep them organized, safe, and out of sight by using these drawers. Measuring 89cm x 58.6cm x 29cm, this affordable piece is $40.

The Range Furniture Reviews: What Do Customers Think?
I wouldn’t consider my The Range Furniture review complete without hearing from customers, so in this section, that’s exactly what I’ll do. Plus, doing so helps us get to know the brand as a whole and can be very helpful in the shopping process.
Usually, the first place I check for feedback is the brand’s website, but I think because it’s constantly bringing in new products, it doesn’t display reviews there. It does, however, collect feedback to help them hone the customer experience. Since I drew a blank there, let’s check out its scores on Trustpilot.
There, the brand averages 3.8/5 stars from over 101.3k reviews. That’s certainly one of the highest numbers of reviews I’ve ever seen for a brand, so how about we take a look at the snapshot to see how they’re divided?
- 5-stars: 57%
- 4-stars: 8%
- 3-stars: 6%
- 2-stars: 5%
- 1-star: 24%
The majority of comments on Trustpilot mention fast shipping and great products. Take this The Range Furniture review for example:
“I ordered a lovely throw for my living room, I was told it would arrive on Wednesday 14th and it was early and arrived Monday 12th. Great service.”
Receiving your order before you expect is always thrilling, and from what I can see, this is common for The Range. Here’s another satisfied customer: “Excellent service. I bought Colourworks Mini Spoon Spatulas – a great product. Would recommend.”
It appears that customers really like the kinds of products this brand stocks, but more so, that they’re good quality for the price. This The Range Furniture reviews seconds that opinion: “Decent products for a good price. I bought a number of sensory toys for my baby. Couldn’t find cheaper elsewhere. Definitely recommend.”
I think we’ve pretty much exhausted the feedback on Trustpilot, so let’s move right along. Before I show this one last The Range Furniture review, I will note that, overall, the brand doesn’t score too well online. Its 1.5-star score on Reviews.io shows that. Other sources showed similar ratings.
On Reviews.io, over 1.4k shoppers wrote in about the brand. While the overall score is grim, there are some positive comments, like this one:
“Bought a mirror from the range – when it arrived it was damaged – did take me about 20 minutes to get through to customer services – told the girl it was damaged and she asked me to return an email she sent me with a photo of the damaged mirror – got a refund within 5 days.”
I’ll get more into complaints about the brand in the next section. While some sources show more negatives than positives, it still seems that thousands of customers still have great experiences here.
Is The Range Furniture Legit?
The Range is definitely legit. There are 200+ physical stores around the UK and thousands of customer reviews online. But while that may be so, I feel compelled to mention some common complaints that popped up while writing my The Range Furniture review.
The most frequent issue I saw reported was about damaged or low-quality products. The second was about poor customer service both in-store and out. While there are tons of positive The Range Furniture reviews for the brand’s products, prices, and customer service, because it’s such a big one, there are more complaints than there would be for, say, a boutique.
Is The Range Furniture Worth It?
Well, I’m not going to sugarcoat it. The Range has some troubling feedback online. It seems they have a bit of a quality and customer service issue, which is comparable to that of US giants like Walmart.
Despite this kind of feedback, people shop at these stores because of the convenience, prices, and selection. I’m not saying poor service is the price you pay for low-cost products, but I will say that it’s not too surprising.
Despite that fact, The Range still has thousands of positive customer reviews on Trustpilot, and I appreciate that they ask for both negative and positive feedback to keep it honest. So are they worth it? Well, ask yourself this: Is fast food worth it? Are factory sales worth it? All of these things have their cons, but sometimes, what you get from them can’t be beat.
The Range Furniture Promotions & Discounts
The Range is popular for its affordable prices, and akin to ever trendy US Target haul, you’ll likely walk away with a basketful of goodies when you shop at this store. To help lessen the blow, I combed through the brand’s website to see what they had in the way of deals. Here’s what I found:
- Sign up for the newsletter for a chance to win a $114 The Range Furniture coupon
- Return customer? Leave a review for a chance to with a $228 gift card
If you’d rather not sign up for anything, you can always shop in the brand’s Offers section. The Range has deals in pretty much every category, so just click the one you’re interested in and you’ll be shown what’s on sale.
