I forgot to mention in my other comment something important: Tokyo treat bribes 5-star reviews. When you sign up and get your first box, they tell you that leaving a 5-star review gives a chance at a free box in a giveaway and you can double it by writing a review on their site as well.
I’d bet money a majority of 5-star reviews were motivated by this bribe. The rest of the people were lucky enough to not have a problem and deal with the horrible excuse for customer service they have. Any honest review of them would not be 5-stars. The price is high, shipping is costly, they don’t inform people which countries they don’t ship to due to Covid (but they’ll take your money), there are no warnings for food allergies, they repeat snacks quite regularly, they often give small portions, they don’t protect the box, their customer service is either humans with scripts or automated bots, they censor anyone that speaks against them in the forums, etc. No honest person would give them 5-stars.
